Description

Up for sale is this Hardwood turning blank. It is Katalox (Swartzia cubensis) and measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 6.0″ . Katalox is a very hard, dense and heavy wood. Its color is deep dark brown with some what interlocked grain. It takes a very high natural polish and has really attractive figure! Use only sharp tools to cut this one and it finishes beautiful. It is the perfect size for a Wood Chisel handle. Design your own and turn it out on your wood lathe, finish anyway you like and have a unique tool that shows who you are and fits and feels just like you want!
