Up for sale is this Hardwood turning blank. It is Chakte Viga ( Caesalpinia platyloba) and measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 6.0″ . Color is a Orange to Red and sometimes shows iridescint. Finel grained and it finishes beautiful. Chakte Viga is easy working. Also called Mexican Pernambuco. It is the perfect size for a Wood Chisel handle. Design your own and turn it out on your wood lathe, finish anyway you like and have a unique tool that shows who you are and fits and feels just like you want!
