Exotic Granadillo Wood Turning Blank 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 12.0″

Up for sale is this Hardwood turning blank.  It is  Granadillo from Venezuela (Platymiscium ulei) and measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 12.0″ .  Granadillo is also known as Coyote, Macacauba or Trebol. This is an extremely hard, satiny, reddish brown wood with charming light cream colored highlights and swirling grain. It looks like a cross between Honduran Rosewood and Cocobolo.  Use only sharp tools to cut this one and it finishes beautiful. The figure ranges from straight to wavy. It is hard and heavy, very fine texture. It is the perfect size for a Wood Chisel handle, Bottle Stopper, and more.   Design your own and turn it out on your wood lathe, finish anyway you like and have a unique tool that shows who you are and fits and feels just like you want!
