Exotic South American Tigre Caspri (Marblewood) Turning Blank 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 6″

Up for sale is this Hardwood turning blank.  It is  Tigre Caspri from South America (Zygia cataractae) and measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 6.0″ .  Tigre Caspri  is also known as Marblewood.   Tigre Caspi (Marblewood) has an unsusual combination of dark brown, or nearly black, lines on a creamy yellow with high contrast.  It is hard and dense with a very characteristic marbling color scheme that displays high contrast.  The figure ranges from straight to wavy. It is hard and heavy, very fine texture. It is the perfect size for a Wood Chisel handle, Bottle Stopper, and more.   Design your own and turn it out on your wood lathe, finish anyway you like and have a unique tool that shows who you are and fits and feels just like you want!
