Handmade Lathe Turned Spalted Sycamore Textured and Pyrographed Bowl

Up for sale is this hand turned ancient Greece influenced spalted Sycamore closed form bowl.  This great piece was created in North Carolina by local artist J.Vincent.  The bowl was inspired by a piece of old world Greek pottery.  The spalting on the wood is reminiscent of decorated pieces I have seen in books from archeological digs in Greece and Rome. Decorations:  Texturing on the rim, vine and leaves burned into the outside edge of the vessel.
