Handmade Lathe Turned Maple and Sycamore Textured and Gilded Bowl

Up for sale is this hand turned Ancient Greek influenced Maple & Sycamore lidded bowl.  This great piece was created in North Carolina by local woodturner/artist J.Vincent.  The bowl was inspired by Greek pottery pieces viewed in Museums.  This closed form lidded bowl has been Scorched, Colored, Textured and Gilded to be reminiscent of pottery I have seen in museums featuring Greek and Roman artifacts.  Please zoom the pictures to see the intricate detail on the rim and underside.

• Scorching, coloring and texture on the outside edge with copper gilding.

• Texturing and copper gilding on the bottom
• Texture on the lid

Finish: Natural carnauba/beeswax/damar polish
